‘Win One for Teddy,’ Say Dems Pushing for Health Reform
Democrats are hoping that the memory of Sen. Ted Kennedy will revive the Democratic Party’s flagging push for health care reform.
“You’ve heard of ‘win one for the Gipper’? There is going to be an atmosphere of ‘win one for Teddy,'” Ralph G. Neas, the CEO of the liberal National Coalition on Health Care, told ABC News.
Regardless my opinion of Ted Kennedy … It is completely disgusting that they are exploiting a man’s death to further a political agenda!
Obama Raises 2010 Deficit Estimate to $1.5 Trillion (Update3)
U.S. unemployment will surge to 10 percent this year and the budget deficit will be $1.5 trillion next year, both higher than previous Obama administration forecasts because of a recession that was deeper and longer than expected, White House budget chief Peter Orszag said.
Wasn’t it just last week that we were told the economy is coming out of recession???? LOL! Economic and political leaders have *no* idea what they are doing or saying.
Welcome to Jimmy Carter and the 1970s all over again. Interestingly, that is when Obama grew up and developed his ideas. I don’t know if there is a name for it, but it seems leaders of most institutions always want to make things like they were when they first entered said institution. Perhaps this explains Obama’s bizarre support for the Equal Rights Amendment??
The only shining light in all of this is after Jimmy Carter came Ronald Reagan.
The thrill is gone for Obama and the media
Gibbs is so crabby because, incredibly, the administration blames the media for the presidents problems.
It tried blaming Republicans, but the GOP is too far out of power. When the leader of the free world is complaining about a posting on the former governor of Alaskas Facebook page, hes got problems.
Team Obama tried blaming special interests, but that was a bust too. The presidents deal with the pharmaceutical industry gets him $150 million worth of ads to boost his plan, whatever it is.
When you based your entire campaign on how you *aren’t* George Bush, I guess you are in quite a predicament when you have to actually tell us what you are *for*.
Thank you, sir, for speaking up!

Obama Rethinking Health Care Pitch
The president is expected to present a more emotional appeal during a conference call Wednesday with liberal religious groups.
Clearly what we need is more emotional appeals and less rational thinking or planning for a total overhaul of our health care system!
